Former Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB34789 Art Deco cinema, La Scala, built in 1913. It later became a snooker club and amusement arcade, The Logie Baird pub, The Picture House Pub, then The Logie Baird again until 2019. It lay empty until re-opening as The Dapper Dug gastro pub in June 2022, but closed just a month later, when staff walked out. A temporary 'Dapper Dug' sign covering 'The Logie Baird' has been removed.
