This Roman Catholic church was built c.1921 by William Partridge, a local builder, on the instructions of the parish priest but without the benefit of architect's plans. It replaced an earlier prefabricated iron church of 1907 on a nearby site. It was extended in 1966 and again in the early 2000s. Source: https://stbonifacechurch.co.uk/history-2/
