Entrance to Ornan Court, an early 20th Century apartment block on Ornan Road, by its junction with Haverstock Hill. The site was previously part of the grounds of Ivy Bank, a house built in 1875 to replace a much earlier two part house, Belsize Lodge/Elm House. Ivy Bank was demolished in 1911. For many years, Ornan Court served as nurses' accommodation for the nearby Royal Free Hospital. For a photo of the whole building see Image and for a close up of the blue plaque above the entrance, commemorating the magician David Devant, see Image
