The Moor Pool Estate is a Garden Suburb founded by John Sutton Nettlefold between 1907 and 1912 consisting of around 500 houses built across 54 acres. The willow tree was apparently planted for a commemorative event maybe in the 1960s and the event was reportedly attended by, among others, Evelyn Nettlefold, the daughter of John Sutton.
