The Midland Railway once had a large complex of traction depot, goods sheds and carriage and wagon works covering some 9 hectares / 22 acres south of Shrewsbury station. The brick building in the background of this photo, a former goods shed, is one of the few remaining bits of it, and is now part of Network Rail's regional base.
