The track of the disused L&NER line can be seen in front of the electricity distribution pole. Of all the fences encountered on the Slamannan to Whitecross walk, the one separating the background field from the road was the worst. The only place to cross without damaging it was beside the strainer post adjacent to the radio aerial on the right of the photo. Unfortunately it was protected by an electric fence, wild roses, nettles and hawthorn branches. Two scratched legs later, I was over the road.
