Suburban road on the southwest side of York. The road marks the boundary of the built-up area in this part of the city, but there were recent plans to expand development further south [left of the road]. This would probably have caused damage to the nearby Askham Bog SSSI nature reserve, and it would appear that such development plans have been quashed.
