The Moor Pool Estate is a Garden Suburb founded by John Sutton Nettlefold between 1907 and 1912, consisting of around 500 houses built across 54 acres. The so-called 'Builders'Yard' was where tenants went to see the maintenance team and arrange repairs. Now, part of the yard is a small community garden. See http://moorpoolhall.org.uk/heritage/history.html for history of the estate.
