The Lace Market is an atmospheric area of narrow streets and passages, once the centre for Nottingham's lace making trade. This is the view down St Mary's Gate; St Mary's church is out of view to the left. On the right is the Kean's Head pub, named in honour of Edmund Kean, a 19th century actor; the building is a former lace factory.
