The bungalow occupies an isolated spot alongside the R Bale. The ridge in the background is the watershed between the Exe and the Barle. Farmers were herding 20 or so wild-looking bullocks with the aid of two quad bikes and a pair of collies. They readily gave me permission to leave the bridle way for this picture and were more worried that the cattle might damage our car parked by the road.
