Powick Mill

Originally this was the site of a traditional water mill on the River Teme, going back to the 11th century. In 1894 the world's first combined hydro-electric/steam power station was built on this site. In use as a power station until the 1950s the buildings have now been converted into upmarket residential accommodation. for more information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powick
