A Rail-Head Treatment Train, which uses a high-pressure water jet to clear autumn leaves from the line, passes the diminutive Gilfach Fargoed station on its way to Bargoed. Class 66 locomotive No. 66121 is leading, with classmate No. 66092 on the rear.
