Buffers on the Leominster and Kington Railway (Kingfisher Line)

These two buffers mark the end of the one mile of surviving railway track on the Leominster and Kington line, now known as the Kingfisher Line. It runs south-west from Titley Junction to the River Arrow, where it abruptly ends because a railway bridge spanning the Arrow was demolished in the 1960s. Taken on the Herefordshire Trail. I'm picturing a ghost train running through the buffers and as they fade out over the River Arrow, a faint voice yells "Bust my buffers". That's a quote from the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends television show. The reason why I thought that is because of this enlightening sign (out-of-shot to the right). Image
