Langley: St John the Evangelist - from the south-west

"Small flint rubble church of C12 origin. The west tower is C14 with stone rusticated quoins and a modern tiled pyramid roof. The chancel was built circa 1560. Red brick with C16 brick mullioned windows with 4-centred arches. The east window is of three lights and the south windows have two lights. The church was restored in 1885" (from the Grade II* listing).
