A glimpse of the ruins from the site of the ruined chapel close by. This might be a medieval motte, but the ruined building that stands on top is much later, being described as a 17thC house which is in danger of collapse. Apparently, the house was still in a reasonable condition in 1903 when it was advertised in Country Life magazine, however there was little interest and the whole estate was put up for sale shortly afterwards and the house was mostly dismantled in 1021.
