Savoy Circus is a very busy junction on the A40 where Western Avenue meets Westway and crosses Old Oak Common Lane and Old Oak Road. There have been various proposals over the years to make this a grade separated junction which might have helped traffic flows but would have done nothing for the local environment. In the event they came to nothing and traffic lights control the traffic. Immediately opposite is Chapter White City student accommodation that is advertised as being convenient for the University of West London and Imperial College. One can only hope that it is well-insulated from traffic noise or study would be nearly impossible.
