This "Let Glasgow Flourish" stone ball at the corner of Argyle Street and Oswald Street appears to be a kugel http://www.kugel.com/ The bar is part of the Radisson SAS hotel on Argyle Street. The kugel can be seen in this photo of the hotel Image It was removed shortly after this photo was taken and now appears to be at the Keppoch School Campus on Stonyhurst Street in the north of the city.
