Guildford Cathedral, or to give it its full name, The Cathedral Church of the Holy Spirit, viewed across the area of grass in front of its west end. Consecrated in 1961, having been completed in stages from the laying of its foundation stone in 1936, it was designed by the architect Edward Maufe. The land was donated by Lord Onslow.
