Still operated with service number 69 – see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6745622 from 50 years earlier – although on a much shortened route. It now runs between Broadstairs and Ramsgate only, compared with the 1972 route all the way from Minnis Bay, west of Margate, to Pegwell Bay. As then, the bus is one that has seen long service, having been new in 2001 to a Stagecoach company in the London area. It is a Dennis Trident with Alexander bodywork, converted to open-top in 2016. It is painted in the pre-National Bus Company colours of the East Kent Road Car Co, including the traditional fleetname on the side of the bus.
