According to the notice United Utilities are constructing a new underground water storage system and new pipes in Woodley. The work involves building an underground water storage tank within the grounds of Woodley Primary School. To allow safe access to the site some trees have been removed to create a new temporary access point from Hyde Road. New trees will planting on completion of the works. Reinstatement plans also include the development of a Forest school outside play area to help children study the local environment. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2023.
