This splendid house dates from around 1806, and was built as an officer's house for the military installation of Shrewsbury Armoury on this site. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101270729-number-6-the-armoury-and-armoury-mews-shrewsbury#.YxujVHbMLIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1270729 in 1972, including the former workshops which are partially visible on the left.
