Peppard Hospital Staff Quarters (Esther Carling House)

Image: © Roger A Smith Taken: Unknown

Named after Dr. Esther Carling who investigated tuberculosis and practised at this hospital before and possibly after the second world war. This photo was taken in the 80's when Peppard Hospital was no more than staff quarters for Borocourt Hospital and other West Berkshire Health Authority staff. The site is now a collection of desirable detached residences.
