Main Street at the junction with Tithebarn Street. Main Street is the A5271 through Keswick and the B5289 from Borrowdale joins it here at the mini roundabout. All the traffic from Borrowdale and the main Keswick car parks must pass through this junction, there being no alternative route for northbound traffic and the mini roundabout is the cause of severe congestion in the summer months. Main Street is the route of The Cumbria Way; walkers following The Cumbria Way keep straight ahead here (next photograph Image).
