On a footpath behind Trelissick Farm the path passes across fields to Trenhale Lane. Coffen stile with four steps and a metal pole to step over. Coffen stile – a stile built over a pit – like a granite cattle grid. Coffen is a Cornish word for a man-made hole in the ground. Public footpath 111/13/2 gold from Hayle to St Erth
