This will be a portable belfry set up for change ringing and capable of being transported to events such as village fetes. The bells will be in the top chamber and the ropes will be in the bottom level. Being taken on a guided tour of this works was a real treat and I enjoyed it enormously. This will not be possible again until about 2024 as work is starting on a lottery funded upgrade of the visitor facilities. A trust has acquired the buildings and Taylor's are their working tenants.
