In this shop the bells are tuned using vertical slotting machines to shave the inside of the bells. Some of the tools are probably Victorian and may well have been driven by the steam engine that once provided power on site. This was the last guided tour for quite a time as the visitor facilities are being upgraded. Hopefully the industrial ambience in the works proper will not be lost.
