Former Lowestoft Library in Suffolk Road

This library was replaced by the modern Library and Record Office in Clapham Road. On the top of the right corner is a small statue of an owl Suffolk County Council have decreed that the Record Office is now only open for four days a week for access to what remains of a vast local archive. Unfortunately the Suffolk County Councillors have looted all the Lowestoft local and Borough Records and secreted them away in "The Hold" a £25 million pound white elephant in Ipswich.
