Buildings on Hamlet Road are seen here from Scratton Road across the railway bridge. The Cliff public house is a former dairy and listed by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) as a heritage pub of regional importance due to its internal mirrors and tiles. Today it is a popular gay venue.
