South of the villages, Main Street passes between the married quarters and the airfield of Leuchars Station. Formerly RAF Leuchars, the station was transferred to the Army in 2015, but still operates as an active airfield. The road is followed by both National Cycle Network route 1 and the Fife Coastal Path.
