Situated in Wallace Green, dating from 1844 and designed by well known Scottish architect Thomas Brown of Edinburgh this was originally Berwick’s Courthouse and Jail. Later about 1892 used as Berwick upon Tweed Council Offices until 2015. Grade II listed. Now converted into 4 large houses with a 2 bed apartment in the old stable loft at the rear. Incorporated into the new design are the former prison cells on 2nd floor, cellar and former vault/ saferoom and a former chapel on 3rd floor.
