The steam gallopers were built by Tidman in about 1895 and the centre engine - Anna - is also by Tidman of c1892. It was acquired for the ride from another source but was such a perfect fit it may have been the original but that is not proven. The little organ engine in the background is thought to be by a builder from Cumbria and was acquired from yet another source. Gallopers have a hard life, things wear out and parts get moved around so they are usually like grandfather's axe (or Trigger's broom for Only Fools and Horses fans).
