Waveney Drive, part of the B1531, runs east from Victoria Road to Horn Hill. A number of businesses once had an address on this road. A huge timber storage area belonging to Jewson's, now deserted except for seagulls. The Co-op canning factory was another large source of employment, especially for women. Offices and a children's centre now stand in its stead.
