The road is a minor one serving only a few properties. The significance of the image is however the two bridge parapets partly shadowed by trees; they are barriers at the sides of a bridge which crossed the long-disused Shrewsbury Canal. Looking from the left side (eastern) parapet the overgrown depression of the old waterway is still clear, albeit overgrown with a jungle-like entanglement of vegetation. The view from the west parapet could hardly be more different: there's not a trace to be seen of the existence of the canal; it has been filled in and the land reincorporated into agricultural use.
