Built in 1805 to replace an older post mill. It continued working until 1924 and was later converted into a residence. There does seem to be confusion in its name; on Battle's 1859 tithe map it is called Porters Windmill whilst the OS maps of 1898 and 1909 mark it as Kingshead Windmill.
