On the left of the building, a plaque which states 'Uppingham School in Grateful Memory of 1876 and 1877'. This simple statement is a clue to a very important event which links the history of Borth and Uppingham school in Rutland. The story is told in the description for Image The Cambrian Hotel was demolished in 1976.
