Holy Trinity church - view east

Holy Trinity church dates from the 12th century with the tower having been added during the 13th century. Greatly restored in 1854 and 1886, the interior is a combination of new and old: there are a few old carved poppyheads affixed onto the Victorian pews in the choir > Image The octagonal font dates from the 14th century, its wooden cover was made in 1964 > Image Fragments of old glass are inserted high up in the tracery of one of the south windows in the chancel > Image; the east window was designed by Edward Framton and inserted in 1896 >Image The south aisle east window shows some influence of the Arts & Crafts style: it depicts St Francis, preaching to the birds > Image The north aisle windows are by G. Maile of London and the easternmost window was made by Harry Stammers in 1959 > Image There are several stained glass roundels inserted in the west windows > Image The church is open every day.
