Or perhaps art is imitating it. Or perhaps both. The famous Thekla has resided quayside in Bristol for many years and remains a prime music venue. One other note of fame is that Banksy created a piece of work on the ship's hull in his early days - one that became an icon of the ship if not the city. That work was painted over some time ago but the entrance now bears a recreation of that grim artwork.
