Airton is a village in Malhamdale. The building and / or others adjacent to it have served various purposes: initially there was a corn mill and then a cotton mill. During WWII, apparently, Reckitt and Colman manufactured the disinfectant Dettol there. Currently the building is divided into apartments as holiday accommodation.
