Pumping station in Winton Road

Tucked away behind a tree and a new housing development is a small brick-built pumping station. In the past, this was a typical Victorian terraced housing, before the station was added in the early twentieth century. As the area was ravaged in the post-war idealism of the council and many houses demolished, Barrington Court replaced the old homes but the station remains.
