During the Russian invasion of Ukraine the three figures on the Grade II listed War Memorial (1924) sported ribbons in the blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag, carrying the words "For Truth...Courage...Justice". The house behind the memorial, Pendinas, built as a canonry in 1861-3 to the designs of Ewan Christian, architect of the Ecclestical Commissioners, is also Grade II listed.
