In 1998, Route 166 ran between Chipstead Valley (Mid Day Sun) and Shirley. Double deckers were used, and one of these is seen here at Shirley about to start on its westbound run. In 2008, the 166 is much altered, having lost its eastern end, but extended greatly in the west all the way to Epsom Hospital. Single deckers are now used exclusively. Here, the bus is standing in Wickham Road, which is part of the A232. The road up to the right is Oak Avenue.
