A building is shown in this location on a map of 1898. It is part of Kingsteignton's expansion. It is seen from the back on the right in Image At that time the west end of Ley Lane ended with a short return south to join Chudleigh Road: the location had the name Ley Lane Cross. The house number (probably assigned in later years) is with Chudleigh Road.
