A Multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) pair - Nos. DR 98962 + DR 98912 - is seen at Park Junction on a weedspray working. The train worked from Margam to Margam via the branch to Machen, Newport and the Ebbw Vale branch. On returning from Newport, it stabled over the lunch break in the very rarely used Five Whistle Road siding, on which it is seen paused here. On the left, class 170 No. 170203 passes as it heads to Newport (via Gaer Junction) on an Ebbw Vale to Cardiff Central working; in the bottom-right corner, the line to Ebbw Junction is just visible.
