Parish Boundary Marker set in the front wall of the Joshua Bradley pub, formerly a house called Ferndale, on the southeast side of the A560 Hyde Road/Stockport Road. Werneth and Bredbury were townships in Stockport parish until made parishes in 1866. In 1894 the Werneth side became part of Hyde parish and then an unparished part of Tameside in 1974. In 1936 the Bredbury side became part of Bredbury and Romiley parish and then an unparished part of Stockport in 1974.
