The notice says there are long term moorings, but none are available in the basin itself. This is the site of Fazeley Wharf, which had no canal basin. The basin was created on the site of a former marl pit when the housing alongside in Evans Croft was built. In the 1800s, Sir Robert Peel was the MP for Tamworth, but Fazeley is not in Tamworth.
