A closer view, grass trampled down, of the West Riding CC milestone 8 miles from York on the B1224 Wetherby Road. There are remnants of grey paint on the stone but when these stones were set up in 1893/94 the backing stone would be left bare. The attachment was painted in 2012 by two Milestone Society members from York. Grade II listed 1188762.
