This West Riding County Council milestone on York Road in Acomb would once have had a backing stone with bolts through the holes in the top section and a bolt on each side at the base, now hidden in the pavement. It was last painted in 2019. It dates from 1893/94 when 615 of these milestones were set up all over the old West Riding.
