After several years living away from London I intended to call in here for some maps and guide books for a forthcoming foreign holiday, only to find it had closed with no indication of a new location. But I eventually tracked it down Image See Image for when this store was open. The building dates from c.1900 by Herbert Read and Macdonald, and is grade II listed (list entry 1222308); the name Stanford is part of the permanent facade so will be protected by the listing.
