On the former Bishop Auckland to Wearhead line. This is the western-most end of the line still retaining its track. Services to here (freight) ended in 1992, and The Weardale (heritage) Railway who run services as far west as Stanhope have hoped to extend them the extra three miles to Eastgate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weardale_Railway
