This building has had a large advertising hoarding on it for many years. For some reason, it has recently been taken down only to reveal an old painted advert for a builders' merchant. The building may well be a remainder from the previous business - a clay pit and kiln business that produced bricks and tiles. Note the angle of the building is at an angle to Hartcliffe Way: in the past this was where Vale Lane deviated but which has been re-routed in post-war times and development.
